Andre conceived and launched Witching Hour in 2015 as a project of The Englert Theatre and in partnership with several producers at other local organizations and nonprofits. It is currently produced by The Englert Theatre and Little Village. Andre serves as the event’s director.
The festival’s charge is to explore the unknown, discuss the creative process, and present new work across a variety of disciplines. Every fall the two-day event welcomes community members, artists, filmmakers, scientists, social justice workers, entrepreneurs, innovators, writers, and cultural thinkers at-large to Iowa City to consider our current state of being and possible routes toward a positive future.
